Save points to a file

This command allows you to save points to a file in text format or Leica (*.gsi) format.

File format

• File : enter the name of the file to process, or select it by clicking . Click to view the file content (if it exists) in the Notepad.
• File type : indicate the file type : Text file with separator, or Leica File (GSI8 and GSI16).
• Renumber : check this option to renumber the points in the file. In this case, indicate the start number, as well as the incrementation value

Additional parameters for text files :

Indicate what information must be saved to the file

Point Number , X coordinate, Y coordinate, Elevation, Description. Data fields can be in any order, and the field separator can be a Space, a Comma or a Semicolon. What you have to do is to indicate the fields position in the file and the number of decimals for the coordinate.

Additional parameters for Leica (gsi) files :

Select the file format : GSI8 or GSI16, as well as the number of decimals for the coordinate.

Set the dialog box parameters then click "Apply" and select the points to save.
