When you create points in a group (using commands "Import points from file", "Point creation on existing entities", "Draw points") you must indicate which attributes will be created, the layers in which they will be drawn, the point creation mode (2D or 3D), etc. To avoid having to reenter these values each time you use FlashPoint, you can save these values in reusable point creation models. You can create as many models as you want, each suitable for a particular use.

Current model

• Model name : select the model in the list, or click to create a new model. Click to save the model, to delete it, or to rename it

Point creation

• Create points in 2D : check this option to create the points in 2D (with Z = 0).
• Create points in 3D : check this option to create the points in 3D.
• In Layer : indicate in which layer the points will be created or click to select it from a list , as well as the point color.

Attributes creation

For each of the attributes “Number”, “Elevation” and “Description”, indicate if the attribute must be created, and if yes, indicate the following values :

• In Layer : enter the name of the layer in which the attribute will be created, or click to select it from a list , as well as the attribute color.
• Text Height : enter the text height of the attribute in drawing units.
• Decimals : choose the number of decimals used to display the Elevation.
• X offset from the point : the attributes are created at a defined distance from the point. Indicate this distance here, in drawing units.
