FVOL3D2

Computation of volumes.

This tool allows you to compute the volume of a DTM with respect to an inclined reference plane. The program computes the volumes above and below that plane (cuts and fills). To compute the volume of a DTM with respect to an horizontal reference plane, use this tool.

Volume Coloring

  • Use volume coloring : Check this case if you want to color cut and fill zones. Colored solids will be created in the layer of your choice. In this case, indicate :
  • Color for the Volume above the plane : Enter the color code or click to use the color selection toolbox.
  • Color for the Volume below the plane :Enter the color code or click to use the color selection toolbox.
  • Color for flats :Enter the color code or click to use the color selection toolbox.
  • Layer : Enter the name of the layer for the creation of solids or click on to choose from a list.
  • Erase the layer : Check this box for the layer contents to be erased before processing.
  • Group elements of the same color : Check this case to group solids of the same color in the same Autocad Group .

Creation of Intersection Lines

  • Create the intersection lines : Check this case to draw intersection polylines between DTM Faces and the reference plane. In this case, indicate: :
  • Layer : Enter the name of the layer for the creation of polylines or click on to choose form a list.
  • Create in 3D : Check this box to draw 3D Polylines.
  • Create in 2D : Check this box to draw 2D Polylines.
  • Erase the layer : Check this box for the layer content to be erased before processing.

Adjust the parameters of the dialog box, then click on "OK". If you have checked the "Select the 3D Faces" option, FlashMNT then displays the command line :

>> Select the 3D Faces :

Select the 3D Faces, then validate. FlashMNT then displays the command line :

>> >> Enter the reference altitude <0.000> :

Enter a value or <ENTER> to accept the default value.

The result is then displayed on the command line as shown below:

==========================================================
>> Volume above the plane : 9495.413
>> Volume below the plane : 1435.002
>> 2D Surface above the plane : 5847.377
>> 2D Surface below the plane : 2618.947
>> 2D Surface for the 'flats' : 0.000
>> 3D Surface above the plane : 6063.147
>> 3D Surface below the plane : 2632.822
>> 3D Surface for the 'flats' : 0.000

Remarks : None.
