To create a correct triangulation, you need to make sure of the integrity of data from the beginning. Hence, the duplicate points and intersecting or superposed breaklines are sources of errors. FlashMNT proposes a tools that allows you to verify and correct these incorrect data.
Below are examples of intersections to correct:

At the intersection 1, the polylines cross each other but don't have a common point. At the intersection 2, the red polyline leans on the green polyline without having a common point.

Points
- Search points with Z comprised : check this option to search for points of which Z is comprised between 2 values.
- between, and : Enter the values for the search. To search points with a specific Z, enter the same 2 values.
- Search for duplicate points: this option allows you to search for duplicate points or those very close based on a search radius that you specify (to search for duplicate points, enter 0.0).
- Search distance : enter the distance. To search for the duplicate points, enter 0.0.
- Keep the point having the lowest/highest Z : in the case where points corresponding to this criteria are found, indicate which of these points should be kept.
- Entity types used as points : indicate which entity types represent the points. In general, they are Autocad POINT entities, but you can also use BLOCKs (in general a block is composed of a point and the attributes: Number and Altitude). In this case, the block insertion point will be used as coordinates.
- Points : Check this option to use POINT entities.
- Blocks : Check this option to use BLOCK entities.
- Mark found points : in the case where points corresponding to the criterion (or criteria when many) are found, indicate if a 'MARQUE' block should flag the point.
- Move found points to layer : in the case where points corresponding to the criterion (or criteria when many) are found, indicate if they should be moved to another layer.
- Layer : Enter the name of the layer to which the points will be moved, or click on
to choose from a list.
3D Polylines
- Check the intersections between 3D Polylines : check this box to search for intersecting 3D polylines or those having superposed segments.
- Mark the intersection : in the case where intersections are found, indicate if a 'MARQUE' block should flag the intersection point.
- Repair the intersection : in the case where intersections are found, indicate if the intersection should be repaired: if yes, a vertex will be added to the polyline at the intersection point.
- Search polylines vertices with Z comprised : check this option to search polylines vertices with Z comprised between 2 values.
- Between, and : Enter the values for the search. To search points with a specific Z, enter the same 2 values.
Height of the ''MARQUE" Block : set the size in drawing units for the "MARQUE" block.
To signal the problems, FlashMNT inserts a 'MARQUE' block at the involved points in the current layer. The block is presented as follows and indicates the encountered problem :
