Conversion of the DTM to ACIS solids

This tool allows you to convert a DTM in a single solid (or several solids) that can then be exported to ACIS format to be used in modeling software, or on which you can use solid editing commands . From each 3D face of the DTM, FlashMNT creates a solid (which you specified the thickness), and then combines these into a single solid volume.

Creation of the solids

  • Layer : Enter the name of the layer for the creation of the solids or click on to select from a list.
  • Create a single solid (using the UNION command) : Check this option to combine the solids into a single ACIS volume.

Adjust the Dialog Box parameters, then click "OK" and select the 3D Faces. FlashMNT then displays on the command line :

>> Minimal elevation = 18.500
>> Maximal elevation = 28.000

>> Base elevation of the solids :

Enter a base elevation smaller than the minimal elevation or greater than the maximal elevation.

The DTM, the solid below the DTM, the solid above the DTM.

Remarks: Used on a large number of 3D Faces, this command can be very long (especially when creating the final volume) and cause a buffer overflow, or the crash of AutoCAD / BricsCad. It is therefore advisable to save all open drawings before use.
