Slope arrows of the DTM

This tool allows to indicate by an "Arrow" symbol, the direction of the maximum slope of the 3D Faces of the DTM.

Object Creation

  • Layer : Enter the name of the layer in which the Arrows will be drawn, or click on to choose from a list.
  • Erase layer : Check this option for the contents of the layer to be erased a the launch of the command.
  • Insert legend : Check this box to insert the legend of the used colors .
  • Decimals : Choose the number of decimals to display in the legend.
  • Arrow block scale : Enter the size of the "Arrow" symbol in drawing units.

Colors by Slope

  • % of slope for the 10th range of values : This option allows you to better distribute the slopes by slice, selecting only the significant slopes, by setting the last range of values (color 10) a percentage of the maximum slope of the DTM. For example, imagine a DTM with slopes from 0% to 100% : by assigning a weight of 90 to the last slice, it will contain slopes from 10% to 100%, while the slopes between 0% and 10% will be distributed among the 9 remaining slices. When you change that coefficient, FlashMNT shows the used slope.
  • Color X : For each color you want to use, check the corresponding box then enter a color code or click on the color in order to use the color selection toolbox.
  • Slope from : Enter the minimal slope of the slice for this color.
  • to : Enter the maximal slope of the slice for this color.

Adjust the Dialog Box parameters, then click "OK" and select the 3D Faces.
