FMAILLE

Creation of a Mesh.

This tool allows you to apply a rectangular mesh on a triangulation. You should precise the size of the mesh in the X and Y directions. Besides, you can apply a deformation factor in Z, which brings out the relief. Moreover, you can choose to create a base under the mesh.

At the command prompt, FlashMNT displays :

>> Bottom left corner of the mesh :
>> Bottom right corner of the mesh:
>> Top right corner of the mesh:

Click the 3 corners of the mesh, the following dialog box appears :

Terrain Data

  • Minimal altitude : indicates the minimum Z of the DTM.
  • Maximal altitude :indicates the maximum Z of the DTM

Mesh Characteristics

  • Mesh spacing in X : enter the size of the mesh in the X direction.
  • Mesh spacing in Y : enter the size of the mesh in the Y direction
  • Scale factor for Z Deformation : enter here a value representing the Z deformation factor.
  • Create a base at altitude : Check this option to draw a base under the mesh. In this case enter a value or click on to re-establish the default value (which is equal to min. Z - 1).
  • Number of faces of the mesh : indicates the expected number of 3D Faces constituting the mesh and allows you to adapt the sizes in X and Y to avoid having a mesh containing too many faces.

Objects Type to Create

  • 3D Faces : Check this option for the mesh to be composed of 3D Faces with 4 sides.
  • Meshed surfaces : Check this option for the mesh to be composed of meshed surfaces.
  • Group mesh Elements : Check this option to group the objects composing the mesh under an Autocad Group.
  • Layer : Enter the name of the layer in which the mesh will be drawn, or click on to choose from a list.
