Cut and Fill Computation between 2 DTMs.


This tool allows you to compute the volumes of cut and fill between 2 DTMs by the method of prisms, and to make the intersection zones of the DTMs appear.

 


Layers of the DTMs

  • Layer of DTM 1 : Enter the name of the layer containing the 3D Faces of the 1st DTM or click on to choose from a list.
  • Layer of DTM 2 :Enter the name of the layer containing the 3D Faces of the 2nd DTM or click on to choose from a list.
  • Select the 3D Faces : Check this box if you want to select the 3D Faces to process.


Coloring of the Cut/Fill Zones

  • Use zone coloring : Check this box if you want to color the cut/fill zones. Colored solids will be created in the layer of your choice. In this case, indicate :
  • Color for cuts : Enter the color code or click to use the color selection toolbox.
  • Color for fills : Enter this color code or click to use the color selection toolbox.
  • Color for flats : Enter the color code or click to use the color selection toolbox.
  • Layer : Enter the name of the layer for the creation of solids or click on to choose from a list.
  • Group elements of the same color : Check this box to group solids with the same color under the same Autocad Group.
  • Erase the layer : Check this box for the layer content to be erased before processing.

Intersection Lines

  • Create the intersection lines : Check this box to draw the intersection polylines between the 2 DTMs. In this case, indicate:
  • Layer : Enter the name of the layer for the creation of polylines or click on to choose from a list.
  • Create in 3D : Check this box to draw 3D Polylines.
  • Create in 2D : Check this box to draw 2D Polylines.
  • Erase the layer : Check this box for the layer content to be erased before processing.

 

Adjust the parameters of the dialog box, then click on "OK". If you have checked the option "Select the 3D Faces", FlashMNT will then display on the command line :

>> Select the 3D Faces of DTM 1 (Layer 'name1')

>> Select the 3D Faces of DTM 2 (Layer 'name2')

Select the 3D Faces, then validate.

 

Remarks: Before using this tool, verify your DTMs using the command DTM Control.
