Visualization of a Cross Section.


This tool allows you to perform and visualize cross sections. At the command prompt, FlashMNT displays :

>> Click on the 1st point of the Cross Section :
>> Click on the 2nd point of the Cross Section :

Click on the 2 endpoints of the cut: the following dialog box appears :

Cross Section

  • Minimal Altitude : indicates the minimum Z of the Cross Section.
  • Maximal Altitude : indicates the maximum Z of the Cross Section.
  • 2D Length of the Cross Section : indicates the 2D Length of the cut Cross Section.
  • 3D Length of the Cross Section : indicates the 3D Length of the Cross Section.
  • Center the image : Check this option so that the drawing of the Cross Section is automatically centered in the visualization window.
  • Scale factor of Z deformation : Enter here a value representing the factor of Z deformation, or use the scrollbar to modify it.

If you have finished the visualization and don't wish to draw this Cross Section, click on , otherwise click on . In this case, a new dialog box appears, allowing you to draw the Cross Section :

 

 

Cut

  • Minimal Altitude : indicates the minimum Z of the Cross Section.
  • Maximal Altitude : indicates the maximum Z of the Cross Section.
  • 2D Length of the cut line : indicates the 2D Length of the Cross Section.
  • 3D Length of the cut line : indicates the 3D Length of the Cross Section.

Name / Layer

  • Name of the Cross Section : Enter the name of the Cross Section. It will show in the Titleblock.
  • Layer : Enter the name of the layer in which the Cross Section will be drawn, or click on to choose from a list.
  • Text height : Enter the text height (of the distances and elevations) in drawing units.

Creation Parameters

  • Distances scale : Enter a value.
  • Altitudes scale : Enter a value.
  • Comparison plane : Enter a value or click on to restore the default value (which is equal to minimum Z - 1).

Elements of the Cross Section

  • Simple Cross Section : Check this option to draw a Cross Section representing the minimal information.
  • With titleblock : Check this option to draw the Cross Section with a Titleblock representing additional information. In this case, choose the lines of the Titleblock :
  • Altitudes : Check this option to display the altitudes in the Titleblock.
  • Partial distances :Check this option to display the partial distances in the Titleblock.
  • Cumulative distances : Check this option to display the cumulative distances in the Titleblock.

Adjust the parameters of the dialog box, then click on and indicate the insertion point of the Cross Section.
