Contour lines labeling.

This tool allows you label the contour lines using various methods.

Labeling mode

• Manual : Check this option to successively click the contours to label.
• Along a line : Check this option to label several contour lines at one time by selecting them using a fence.
• Interval : Check this option to label selected contour lines at regular interval.
  

Label position

• On the curve : Check this option to place the label on the curve.
• Trim the curve under the text : Check this option to trim part of the line under the label. This option can significantly slow the process.
• Offseted : Check this option to place the label at the specified distance from the curve.

Label parameters

• Height : Label height in drawing units.
• Margin : Margin around the label used to trim the curve.
• Decimals : Number of decimals of the label.
• Layer : Enter the name of the layer for the creation of labels or click on to choose from a list. Choose a color.
• Always orient the text in reading direction : Check this option to so the label is always oriented to be readable, whatever the drawing rotation.

Adjust the parameters of the dialog box, then click on "OK". If you have selected the "Along a line" option, FlashMNT displays on the command line:

Click the 2 points or <ESCAPE> to terminate.

Remarks :

1. For BricsCAD only : if you create contour lines smoothed by the "Spline" option, only the "Interval" mode will work.

2. For BricsCAD only : the labeling mode "Along a line " can produce unexpected results (misplaced or duplicate label ).
