Before creating embankments, you need to create configurations,
which consists in defining for both types of embankments (normal and wide)
the length of the long and short lines and the space between them. Click
to open
the Configurations dialog.
Parameters for "normal" embankments"
- Distance
between long lines:
distance between 2 main (long) lines .
- Number
of short lines:
Number of short lines between
2 main (long) lines.
-
Length ratio: Length ratio
between a main (long) line and a short line.
Parameters for "wide" embankments
- Distance
between 2 lines:
distance between 2 lines .
- Initial
length of lines: length of lines at the
first row (top-line of the embankment).
-
Length ratio: Length ratio
between lines of consecutive rows.
Common parameters for both types
- Layer:
enter a layer name or click
to choose in a list. If the layer doesn't exist, it will be created.
If it is frozen, lines will be created in this layer however.
- Associative:
if this option is checked, the embankment is then associative.
So, after a modification is made to the bottom-line(s) or the top-line
of the embankment, you can update this embankment by a single click.
There's no need to erase old embankment and redraw a new one.
- Create
a group:
this option is avalaible only if the associative option is unchecked.
This allows you to group entities (see AutoCAD help).
- Remark
about associativity: embankments are associative, not
reactive. This means that, after a modification is made to the bottom
or the top of the embankment, re-creation is not automatic. You must
click
then
select the embankment to update. This way of working avoid use of Autocad
reactors which cause a lot of crashes.

Saving configuration files: you must save your configurations
in the sub-directory "Configurations" of FlashEmb installation
directory.
