EasyText allows to easily place words or sentences taken from dictionary files, avoiding you to type repetitive text. Various options let you control the placement and the appearance of the text (aligned along entities, boxed ). You can also explode entire sentence in individual words to place them one by one, etc. Main
dialog
Words or sentences List / Edition box The list contains all words or sentences of the current dictionary. Click one of the line, the selected text appears in the Edit box. You can then modify it. Hold the [Ctrl] key to select several lines, like in the example below :
You can double-click a text in the list to close the dialog and place the text.
Text settings Text style : Choose a text style in the list or enter a new style name. If the style does not exist, it will be created with the default settings. Height : Choose a text height in the list or enter a new value. (drawing units) Layer : All non frozen layers appears in the list. Select one or enter a new layer name. If the layer does not exist, it will be created automatically.
Orientation / Justification Horiz. : The text will be aligned horizontally, according to the view rotation. Aligned : The text will be aligned along an entity: polyline, line, arc or text. Oriented : The text will be aligned according to an angle that you will choose by clicking a point or entering a angle value. Fixed : The text will be aligned according to an angle that you specify by choosing it in the list or by entering a new value Explode : This allows to explode an entire sentence in individual words to place them one by one. This is usefull when you have to place text along a polyline (for example if you need to place street names, etc.) Multiple : Repeats the same text until you press [Escape] Outline : Outline the text (see Options).

Outline Entity type : Choose entity to use to create a box around the text. (In Autocad 2000/2002, Express Tools must be installed to use Wipeouts). Offset : Enter an absolute value or a percentage of the text height.
Dictionnaires You can use up to three different dictionary files. They must be TEXT files with a .TXT . You can edit these files to add or remove lines while using EasyText. If you do so, you'll have to re-load them in order apply modifications. If a dictionary file is missing, his name will appear on a red background. Automatically add new words to dictionary : Select this option so that new words or sentences are added to the current dictionary. Warning, this is case sensible. (Example: "New sentence" is not equal to "new sentence". Alphabetically sort words list : Select this option to sort the list. Otherwise words/sentences will appear in the same order that in the file.
Misc. ASCII
character for unbreakable space : Choose
the ASCII character representing the unbreakable space to use with the
'explode' option. Always place text according to the direction of reading : Select this option so the text is always readable (it will be rotated if it is upside down).
